Create Subpages in Your Dashboard

Use subpages to group information in categories, steps, and more.

Nesting dashboard pages creates a multi-level navigation structure, enhancing user experience by grouping related pages under a main page. This guide will show you how to nest a subpage under a main dashboard page in just a few steps.

Before you get started: You'll need a dashboard with multiple pages created.

Instructions

Note: You can only create one level of subpages (i.e., a subpage cannot have its own subpage).

  • Locate the Pages tab: When viewing your dashboard in edit mode, you’ll see the list of pages under the “Pages” section on the right-hand panel.
  • Select the page to nest:
    • Hover over the page you wish to nest under a parent page
    • On the far right of the page’s name, click and hold the “Drag and Drop to Reorder” button.
  • Drag and drop the page: While holding the drag button, move the selected page slowly over the page you want as the parent.
    • When you see the page icon below the target page disappear, unclick. See the GIF below for what that looks like.

  • Confirm changes: The dashboard’s navigation menu will update to reflect the new parent-child hierarchy.

Tip: This process may take a couple of tries to get the right placement. Don’t hesitate to use the chat feature for help!

How to undo making a subpage

  • Go to the "Pages" panel and find the nested page.
  • Drag the page away from its parent and drop it back into the main list.

Common issues & troubleshooting

  • Solution: Ensure that the page you are dragging is hovering over the intended parent page long enough for the connection to appear.

  • Solution: Try refreshing the dashboard. If the problem persists, clear your browser cache or contact support.
