Meet Your Workspace

Seek is set up as a workspace with a Display Panel on the left and a Control Panel on the right.

Your selection of regions and data via the Control Panel determines the presentation of data in the Display Panel. To use any view, you must first select regions and data.

In the Control Panel, click under Regions to select regions and under Data to select data. (If you can't see the Control Panel, it may be collapsed. Click the arrow in the upper-right corner to expand it.)

Select Regions

In the Control Panel, click under Regions to select regions.

Search or use the map to select a region.

Once selected, click the Select a sub-region drop-down to expand the menu and make a selection.

You can continue adding Regions to your selection, but you can only select sub-regions for one Region at a time. When you're done, click Finish Selecting.

The Region section in the Control Panel will now reflect your selections.

Select Data

In the Control Panel, click under Data to select data.

You can select data from any of the three tabs Home, Guides, and Search. This tutorial will focus on a search-based selection.

From the Search tab, type a keyword and/or filter by one of the following dimensions: Data Source, Time, Unit, Geography, or Category.

Click the "+" icon to select the indicator(s).

You have the option to click on the indicator name to bring up the Data Settings modal, from which you can normalize the indicator and/or make data presentation decisions (eg customize the label, unit, data format, and decimal places).
