How to Access Sidekick from Your Desktop or Phone's Home Screen

Creating a desktop widget for quick access to Sidekick on your Windows, Mac, or mobile device can help you navigate to the tool quickly and enhance your productivity.

Follow the steps below for your respective device.


Windows

  1. Open Browser and Navigate to Sidekick:

    • Open your preferred web browser and go to Sidekick.

    • Log in with your mySidewalk credentials.

  2. Create a Shortcut:

    • Once logged in, click on the three dots or the menu icon in your browser (usually found in the top right corner).

    • Select More tools and then Create shortcut....

    • Name the shortcut Sidekick and ensure the Open as window option is checked.

    • Click Create.

  3. Move the Shortcut to Desktop:

    • Go to your Desktop. You will see the new Sidekick shortcut.

    • Drag and drop it to your desired location on the Desktop.


Mac

  1. Open Browser and Navigate to Sidekick:

    • Open your preferred web browser and go to Sidekick.

    • Log in with your mySidewalk credentials.

  2. Create a Shortcut:

    • In the browser, click on the three dots or menu icon.

    • Select More tools and then Create shortcut....

    • Name the shortcut Sidekick and ensure the Open as window option is checked.

    • Click Create.

  3. Move the Shortcut to Desktop:

    • Go to the Applications folder or find the Sidekick shortcut in the browser’s Applications section.

    • Drag and drop the Sidekick icon to your Desktop.


Mobile (Android and Apple)

Android

  1. Open Browser and Navigate to Sidekick:

    • Open Chrome or your preferred browser and go to Sidekick.

    • Log in with your mySidewalk credentials.

  2. Create a Home Screen Shortcut:

    • Tap the menu icon (three dots) in the upper right corner.

    • Select Add to Home screen.

    • Name the shortcut Sidekick and tap Add.

  3. Move the Shortcut:

    • The Sidekick icon will appear on your Home screen. Move it to your preferred location.

Apple (iOS)

  1. Open Browser and Navigate to Sidekick:

    • Open Safari and go to Sidekick.

    • Log in with your mySidewalk credentials.

  2. Create a Home Screen Shortcut:

    • Tap the Share button (the square with an arrow pointing up).

    • Select Add to Home Screen.

    • Name the shortcut Sidekick and tap Add.

  3. Move the Shortcut:

    • The Sidekick icon will appear on your Home screen. Move it to your preferred location.


Following these steps will allow you to create easy access points to Sidekick from any of your devices, streamlining your workflow and helping you make the most out of this powerful tool.
